Celebrating the project’s completion, the Environment Agency invited local residents to visit Mildenhall Cricket Club on Friday 18th July to learn about the completed works, and the wider effort to restore the health of the river Lark.
Designed by Fishtek for the Environment Agency, the pass is built within the existing river channel using rip rap rock and strategically placed boulders, which helps support trout to migrate up the River Lark—one of the UK’s rare chalk streams— in Mildenhall, Suffolk, past two historic control structures.
The evening included light refreshments to enjoy alongside exhibits from the Environment Agency, BFER, Anglian Water and the River Lark Catchment Partnership.
