January's Bright Ideas Winner!
The Plant Information QR Code system will initially be rolled out across all equipment that requires a LOLER certificate, streamlining the process for clients and site managers to access important information.
By simply scanning the QR code, users are directed to a dedicated folder containing all relevant paperwork for that specific piece of plant.
This initiative will enhance safety and efficiency by providing immediate access to documents, reducing the need for manual searches and paperwork, and ensuring that critical information is readily available at all times.
Emma was awarded a £50 Amazon voucher by Nick Harris (BCE SHEQ Advisor) in recognition of the hard work she put into creating the QR Code information. The idea originated from the Bright Ideas campaign, which can be accessed on the BCE homepage.
Nick mentioned, “The QR Code makes checking certification dates much easier, as it can be done immediately on the specific item of plant. It’s also a great way to reduce our carbon footprint by cutting down on paper usage.”
