Inspiring future talent at Alconbury Weald!

We were delighted to welcome ten students from St Peter’s School to our Southern Gateway project at Alconbury Weald, giving them an insight into the wide range of skills and careers involved in delivering major infrastructure.

Organised by Constructed Pathways, the visit included a classroom session where our team shared project plans and drone footage, followed by a site tour to see the works in action — bringing the scale and complexity of the project to life.

“We’re incredibly proud of the work we do, and it’s great to share our knowledge with the next generation. The students were surprised by just how many different careers are involved in a project like this.”
— Paul Rzepka, Senior Project Manager, Breheny Civil Engineering

“The visit really opened our students’ eyes to the number of people and job roles involved. Seeing the site helped put everything into perspective.”
— Amber Walker, Careers Office Manager, St Peter’s School

The visit forms part of the National Skills Academy for Construction at Alconbury Weald, led by Urban&Civic in partnership with CITB, helping ensure local developments provide real training and career opportunities for people in the area.

A huge thank you to Constructed Pathways, Urban&Civic, CITB, and the team from St Peter’s School for joining us — together, we’re helping build both great infrastructure and great futures.
