A1307 Update

We have been busy working on the A1307 near Cambridge. The road was closed over two consecutive weekends to allow us to tie-in the newly constructed roundabout with the existing carriageway. This involved carrying out a full reconstruction of the existing carriageway, lowering levels to match those of the new roundabout approaches. The existing A1307 was planed out, excavated to formation, new sub-base placed and surfacing paved all before opening to traffic again. The roundabout is now partially operational and provides a much safer arrangement than the previous staggered crossroads. Thanks to Falcon Drone Creations for the photo.
