Inspiring conversations in Lowestoft

Sophie and Simon spent time with young people taking part in the Skills for Success programme at GLAgroup, sharing what it’s really like to work in construction and the key skills that help people thrive in the industry.

As part of the programme, participants created a vibrant mural and refreshed the garden area next to the Kirkley Centre — including the wooden fence around the electrical substation. The project gave them valuable hands-on experience, and the transformation has truly brightened the space.
