Riseholme Roundabout
Client: Lincolnshire County Council
We were engaged by Lincolnshire County Council to make improvements to the existing Riseholme Roundabout at the junction of the A46 and A15 junction on the Lincoln Ring Road. The work consisted of the addition of a new left turn slip road to each arm of roundabout. There were Utilities to divert, install new Surface Water drainage and erect new streetlights with associated cabling.
The project needed careful planning of the traffic management due to the roundabout being at a busy junction of the Lincoln ring-road and the A15 arterial road heading north out of the City. Following the construction of the new left turns we resurfaced the roundabout including large areas of base and binder course replacement followed by road markings and new signage and street furniture. The kerbing included Beanie Kerbs and we constructed an infiltration pond adjacent to roundabout. Finally, we landscaped and seeded the adjacent verges.
The majority of this project was constructed during the Covid lockdowns and careful management of staff was introduced to ensure safe working to mitigate the risk of any Covid infections.
