Lyminster Relief Road

We were employed to construct a new 1700 metre long bypass with associated drainage, this included new bridges over an existing road and the Worthing to Portsmouth railway line with concrete panelled retaining wall on bridge abutments. The Instu reinforced concrete bridges were constructed with pre-cast W beams and a poured concrete deck.

The project delivered a new S278 roundabout on the A259, new cycleways and 3 underground attenuation tanks for surface water management.

Pedestrian access was afforded by new footways, a pedestrian crossing and a culvert pedestrian underpass

We were heavily involved with the utility diversions on the A259, for 8 different utility diversions including electric HV and LV, SSE telecoms, Vodafone telecoms, Virgin Media, Southern Water, SGN Gas, BT and Instalcom fibre optic cable.
