Clacton Cliff Stabilisation

Client: Tendring District Council

Breheny Civil Engineering was contracted to Tendring District Council to stabilise the cliffs at Holland-on-Sea. The existing cliff face had eroded and slipped into the sea, with potential damage to the road running along the cliff top.

We removed 22 beach huts to safe storage and installed 237m of sheet piling to stabilise the cliffs using a silent piling rig for environmental reasons. Ground anchors were installed with sheet piling and below this new retaining wall a recreational area was created.
