We offer a range of apprenticeships, which combine theoretical learning and practical workplace experience.
Apprentice Site Operative
Ground Worker Level 2 Apprenticeship
Annual wage starts at £18,200pa.
Pay will be reviewed as you gain experience and skills throughout your apprenticeship.
Working Hours:
The standard site working hours are 42.5 hours a week, Monday to Friday 7.00am – 4.00pm.
Under 18s will be restricted to 40 hours per week.
Job Details:
Kick-start your career in civil engineering by learning construction techniques, including kerb laying, drainage and pipe installation, site compound setup, and the construction of roads and pavements. These roles are based across our Eastern, Central and Southern regions and require a hands-on approach to physical tasks and site safety.
The apprenticeship will last around 18 months and will be delivered through CITB National Construction College near Kings Lynn. This will be attended in blocks:
Blocks 1-7: 2 weeks each.
Block 8: 4 weeks.
You will also be mentored by some of our most experienced and knowledgeable workforce, who will provide you with the practical skills essential for your development in Civil Engineering.
The following positions are available:
- Eastern Region: 5 Positions across Suffolk & Norfolk, in particular, we are looking for an applicant from Beccles.
- Central Region: 3 Positions across Cambridgeshire & Bedfordshire.
- Southern Region: 2 Positions across Kent & East Sussex.
Desired Qualifications:
GCSE English (Grade 3).
GCSE Maths (Grade 3).

Interviews to be held in May 2026.
College enrollment from September 2026.

Apprentice Plant Operator
Currently None Available
You will receive practical training on a variety of Civil Engineering plant items. This will be backed up by training at college on block release, which will result in achieving NVQ level certification.
