Newark Southern Link Road and A46 Roundabout

The latest updates and progress photos from Breheny Civil Engineering’s Newark Southern Link Road and A46 Roundabout project:

Flood Alleviation Bridge: The FAB is fully complete except for the final surface course and road markings.

River Devon Bridge (RDB): PCC edge beams have been placed and grouted into position. The TW’s paraslim has been removed, steel parapets installed and waterproofing sprayed to the galleries and deck.

The RDB is on the home stretch with the remaining works consisting of the kerb drainage, sub-surface drainage, movement joints, surfacing and road markings.

A46 Roundabout – Phase 2 Cement Bound Granular Material (CBGM) and base/binder is being installed along with the completion of the twin box culvert extension.

Upcoming works will include street lighting and traffic signal installation, finishing works and installation of maintenance tracks, before switching to Phase 3.
