Don Street Pumping Station – Rotherham

Client – Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council

We were appointed to construct a new storm water pumping station in the car park of Rotherham United Football Club to alleviate flooding in the town centre of Rotherham.

Our work consisted of the construction of a new storm water Pumping Station, a new road bridge, installation of storm drainage, sub-station and a permanent static crane. The M & E was part of the project package including structural steel and pumps.

We also constructed a combined sheet pile and concrete headwall into the River Don, below water sheet pile cutting using divers to cut the piles and lighting on the sub-station and installation of CCTV columns and cameras. Finally, we reconstructed a new section of the adjacent tow path, which forms part of the national cycleway network
