As part of our social value initiatives linked with our work at Harwich Freight In Gate for our client Hutchison Ports, Breheny offered to help spruce up an area at Noah’s Nursery which had recently had some trees removed. The area was dug out and artificial grass laid, then Breheny bought a shed and base which was also installed.
A special thank you to Mark Orris and MOCON Civils Ltd who are contracted on our Harwich site and kindly donated the artificial grass and provided the volunteers.
“What a great job your guys have done, thank you. The space you have now provided will be for “Making It Real” – this is an early years programme to raise achievement in literacy. It will help us to boost children’s communication, language and early literacy development, while working with parent/carer to develop this at home. The shed will be the ‘Book Nook’, we will be decorating the inside so parent/carer can sit and read stories, and sing rhymes together, providing everyday chances for literacy learning.”
