After becoming ISO 50001 accredited in 2015, we have been measuring our energy outputs and greenhouse gas emissions, knowing that the world was transitioning to a lower carbon approach. This proactive initiative led us to publish our Carbon Reduction Plan on our web site in 2021, following the release of PPN 06/21.
Our latest innovation, the Breheny Carbon Impact Reduction Tool (BCIRT) allows us to produce accurate carbon forecasts pre-contract and to track emissions during a live project. BCIRT is allowing us to help our Clients to achieve their low carbon ambitions.
Thanks to our in-house Carbon Working Group we were able to use our systems and data to achieve PAS 2080, receiving the following comment as part of the audit: ‘best practice noted in the management system, particularly in relation to the GHG assessment methodology’
With PAS2080, we’re shaping a path to operational excellence while creating a sustainable legacy for generations to come. By embracing this framework, we’re playing our part in the global transition to a net-zero economy by 2050.
